The hotels
Looked at and skipped
Hotel DIAMOND: very central and cheap (US$1,438), but no reviews at all.
Hotel Fukudaya: US$1,570, lowest rating of the group (8.0), and closer to Meguro than Shibuya.
Shibuya Tobu Hotel: small 26 m² quad, recent cleanliness complaints.
almond hostel & cafe: a hostel near Yoyogi-Hachiman, too far out and too basic.
TRUNK(HOTEL) Yoyogi Park: about US$500+ per room per night. Too expensive.
Cityzen Tokyo and Section L Shibuya-Hatagaya: listed as "Shibuya" but actually in Hatsudai/Hatagaya, far from Shibuya Station.
illi Hotels Mel Shibuya: couldn't confirm where it is.
Vrbo apartments and houses: most are outside Shibuya or have only 1–3 reviews.
